Same same but different: We getpressis share a vision — while at the same time being a colorful bunch who don’t always agree. That can lead to friction, but even more so to fruitful exchange and creativity. We love it. Today, we’re introducing you to three team members in an interview: Anna, Anja, and Daniel.
This is a first: For the first time, Team Thursday isn’t just introducing you to two PR perspectives, but also one of our recently hired developers. getpress is growing — and with that, so is everything that needs to happen behind the scenes to make sure great PR can happen out front without getting held up by processes.
Today’s interviewees: Anna, who spots stories and strategically sharpens them until they hit the mark. Anja, who brings research and narratives together to create what she calls “world-class” feedback. And Daniel, who makes sure behind the scenes that our setup grows along with us.
Three roles, five questions — let’s go.

Dear Anna, forget the title in your email signature for a moment. What would your role be called if it fully captured everything you do at getpress?
Story detective, strategist, and sometimes firefighter when things need to move fast.
What has been your biggest milestone at getpress so far?
I haven’t been here that long yet, so for me, a special moment was when a client said after a short time: “We feel like you have a good instinct for this.” Having someone trust me strategically so quickly felt like a small moment of truly arriving.
What was your biggest fail — and what did you learn from it?
Since I haven’t been at getpress that long, I haven’t actually had a major fail here yet. But I’m pretty sure the PR gods have something in store for me sooner or later.
Looking ahead: What does the industry need right now, and what contribution would you like to make?
I think the industry needs one thing above all right now: a clear point of view. Fewer empty buzzwords, more genuine convictions that are actually lived out. Brands need to know what they stand for and communicate that credibly. That’s exactly what I want to contribute to.
Imagine you at getpress were animals: Which animal would you be, and why?
A Border Collie: focused, energetic, and always making sure everything runs smoothly.
Pronouns: she/her

getpress in three words: output-driven, dream team, never boring
Dear Anja, forget the title in your email signature for a moment. What would your role be called if it fully captured everything you do at getpress?
Research pro, narrative strategist, and story architect.
What has been your biggest milestone at getpress so far?
Perfect combinations of story and client happiness, plus feedback like “world-class.”
What was your biggest fail — and what did you learn from it?
Getting ghosted by a journalist after an interview 😢. What I learned: If a journalist is already unreliable before the interview, trust your gut more and just cancel.
Looking ahead: What does the industry need right now, and what contribution would you like to make?
Less generic content and less flooding journalists with bad AI-generated content — more individual storytelling, network building, topic fit, and genuine thought leadership.
Imagine you at getpress were animals: Which animal would you be, and why?
A bee: working as part of a team, diligently collecting information everywhere, and later bringing it all together into something meaningful.

Jack of all traits.
What has been your biggest milestone at getpress so far?
40 issues closed.
What was your biggest fail — and what did you learn from it?
Not work-related: I copied my tax ID from an old photo of a payslip and accidentally registered my ex-girlfriend... The tax office has no sense of humor.
Looking ahead: What does the industry need right now, and what contribution would you like to make?
Perseverance; keep going.
Imagine you at getpress were animals: Which animal would you be, and why?
A beaver: builds a whole lot of things, but nobody really understands why or what.
